I have been brought by my friend to a newly opened Indian banana leaf restaurant. The opening of this restaurant is on 5th March 2018, located at entrance of Berjaya Times Square between the theme park and the supermarket. Surprisingly, the restaurant is quite spacious with plenty of seats, it's best for group gathering or lunch with a bunch of your colleagues. Bananabro serves authentic banana leaf meals using only fresh ingredients with intense flavours in generous amounts to satisfy your banana leaf needs. Taking inspiration from the India's street, art and cultures, Bananabro elevates the dining experience of authentic southern region through modern and contemporary touches in their dishes and drinks.

Craving Set - RM12.90

We are coming with four. So, the main dish that we have ordered is the Craving Set. This basic banana leaf rice set consists of rice, three vegetable sides, rasam, yoghurt, paladin and four different curries to choose from. Four of the curries are chicken curry, Dhal, Mung Bean curry and fish curry. These curries are free for refill, it tastes so good with the rice.

Besides, we have also ordered Chicken 65 (RM7.50), Mutton of the Day (RM9.90) and Chicken of the Day (RM7.50). I personally love the fried chicken as it is quite easy to chew. The meat is tender, soft and juicy.

Nasi Lemak Fried Chicken - RM11.90

This is another must try dish at Bananabro. They serve this set of nasi lemak fried chicken from 8.30am until 11.30am daily. This nasi lemak is served on a banana leaf too. I found it quite a unique one to try out. What does this nasi lemak set come with? Please see the image below!^.^

Teh Tarik Lawa Cold - RM4.90

My friend told me that when you visit Bananabro, you must order this! The teh tarik is really 'lawa' as in the foam flows out from the glass.

We have been informed that their 2nd outlet will be opened at Gardens Midvalley by end of this year! For those who are staying at Petaling Jaya, that's another outlet which is nearer to you that you can visit at.
